Are you an equine enthusiast? Come and learn how to sculpt them!
In this course we will study horses in sculptural form with emphasis is on proportion, anatomy, volume and construction. An observation from photographic references will help us build on an armature structure. Students will explore the techniques used for understanding contour of form, line, composition, and gesture. We will cover the use of the materials, tools, clay application and finishing surface techniques.
Students will each create a 14” tall oil clay sculpture of a standing horse. Armatures, clay, reference materials and tools will be provided with the course. Students are encouraged to bring their own tools if they have them.
No experience needed! All levels are welcome.
