The Art Studio offers art classes to children, teens and adults, starting from 7 to 107 years young. We offer classes that provide the basics for an unexperienced student and classes for all levels of experience to the professional artist.
While many schools and teachers work to have their students simply finish something, The Art Studio focuses on truly teaching the student. Some classes allow the student to choose the subject of their art, other classes utilize professional live models. The instructors at The Art Studio are working professionals. They know the "tricks" of the trade. They know about their craft from techniques to supplies. They can't wait to share it all with you!
When you sign up for classes or private instruction at The Art Studio, you will be in a fun, upbeat, professional environment. The focus is always on making you reach your true potential. The unrushed, nonjudgemental, noncompetitive atmosphere at The Art Studio is a perfect place to learn and enjoy art.

Testimonials
"Ruth is an exceptional instructor who is savvy to the needs of all age groups of students. After studying with Ruth for nearly two years our daughter submitted a half dozen oil paintings when auditioning for the Orange County High School of the Arts. She was more than prepared! When I picked her up from her audition she said, 'Mom that was easy!' My husband and I felt the audition experience would not have been as positive had our daughter not had instruction by Ruth. We can't thank her enough for the smile on our daughter's face when reading her acceptance letter to one of the most prestigious art schools in California."

"When I started at The Art Studio, I had no idea that it would lead me to such an amazing school as the Orange County High School of the Arts. But before I knew it, Ruth Hollis and the classes her studio offered were guiding me in the direction of an extraordinary path that has formed me into everything I am today, both as an artist and as a person. Training from The Art Studio focused my skills and challenged my abilities so that I not only was accepted in to OCHSA in the seventh grade, but I was also able to achieve my artistic goals while at OCHSA by continuously attending these studio classes before and during my six years there. I am proud to have come out of The Art Studio, an environment of support and a catalyst for achievment in the arts. There are not many opportunities to receive great art education such as one receives at The Art Studio, and I feel very lucky to have been trained there. Thank you Ruth". -Samantha
